Hello, this is my first post. I came here looking for some stories and maybe some advice. I'm 16 and I have had acne for about the last 6 months but it didn't get bad until the last 3-4. Before this I never once had any acne except for maybe a small pimple here and there but absolutely nothing like this. I waited far too long to go to the derm and I have some (I hope) shallow scarring. I was put on tretinoin (retin-a) and minocycline in February so it's been just about 3 months. Recently I went back and I had broken out and had been continuing to break out, so my derm suggested Tazorac and gave me some samples. Well this was almost 3 weeks ago and I haven't touched the Taz. I'm very scared to switch from tretinoin to Tazorac and I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has made the switch and if it worked out well? I'd also like to include that while the tretinoin did not stop me from breaking out entirely, it definitely slowed things down... It also did a lot to fade my existing scars, and they are a lot lighter but still noticeable. I have more newer red marks also. Please reply if you have any advice or would like to share your own story... It would be much appreciated. Thanks!
