Hi! Okay so I am new to acne.org but I'm feeling hopeless and alone with acne. I'm a 17 year old female and I've had acne since around 8th grade and at first my skin was fine and i got one or two pimples every once in a while. I never really worried about it, then I got to high school and my face became extremely oily with black heads and impacted pores. Now throughout junior and senior year my face has become worse, I don't know what to do. Both my friends have gone on accutane and have perfect skin. They don't understand what its like anymore to look in the mirror and hate the way you look. I'm quickly becoming depressed. The brands ive tried are as follows: Clean&Clear, St. Ives, Murad, Biore, Aveeno, Neutrogena, Lush Products, first Aid beauty and I've tried Vitamin E oil. I drink a liter of water everyday and change my pillow case twice a week. I used to use brushes and wash cloths until i read on here that irritation causes acne. Right now my acne is very bad on my forehead, on my temples, in my hair line, on my chin, on my upper lip, on my cheeks right next to my nose, on the side of my nose and somewhat on the bridge of my nose. Also its bad in between my eyebrows and in my eyebrows. So basically my acne is bad everywhere. its also extremely red that doesn't seem to fade. I've researched many products but i've spend so much on treatments that I'm weary, tired and, hopeless. Is anyone else feeling this way or maybe has a great product they know that works on oily acne prone combination skin? Thank you for your time

hey, I'm feeling the same way. i know this awful feeling. I have acne for almost 5 years. I tried almost every acne product but nothing seemed to do work. Almost a month ago I went to a dermatologist. She gave to me Ac Norm- Medilike effect (Type 1 for me).

It didn't cured my acne but I can see difference :)

Try going to a dermatologist to take an opinion from someone specialist.
