Generally, acne first attacked me when I was 12. I always had it, but mostly mild and light so I didn't even bother about it.
Not long ago I finally decided to completely get rid of it and started taking care of my skin etc. A few months later I can say I'm putting much effort in it. I've got a whole skincare routine, I am careful with my diet: don't eat sugar and dairy products, heard they both stimulate acne. I take vitamins and Omega 3 supplements for already two months. Don't touch my face, clean my towels and pillow cases and do many other things which are meant to eliminate acne. And the problem isI don't find any improvements. I'm 18 now and this problem really makes me crazy. Sometimes I feel that my acne became even worse after I started taking care of my skin. The result is the same every time: I get a breakout, start treating it, see some improvements, become happy that my acne goes away and boooom, a new breakout occurs.
I realize acne is a hormonal problem for me but I have no idea about how can I make my skin produce less oil? I never felt like going to a dermatologist because I never wanted to discuss this issue with anyone.
Honestly, I'm posting it here just because I need to express there awful feelings with anybody.
I suggest you go see a doctor about it.
There are many different things they can prescribe you that may help. A friend of mine went and she had massive improvement for her acne. It does take a while to find the right method for you.
Everyone's skin is different so start from basic. I went straight with a dermatologist at age 18-20 and my face only got worse. I lost hope at one point and just mopped around until I forced myself to the doctors, even though it didn't help much, my acne didn't get any worse. What worked for me was seeing a chinese doctor, herbs/detox. So what works on others might not work for you etc.
But like I said I personally would say go to your doctors and stay with them for a while and if u tried a few things and know it doesn't work then seek a derm. Some derm you got to pay some don't but all treatments with them comes with a expensive tag and those treatments doesn't always work either.
If acne could be solved with money, it wouldn't be a problem.
