Yes, that looks like the typical severe acne. Mines looked exactly like that when my acne was bad. Do the usual things everybody on here recommends: Changing diet(avoiding dairy, veg oil, bad sugar, & other trigger foods), Taking vitamins(fish oi, zinc, d3, probiotics, etc), Topical treatment(BP, retinA, etc), or Accutane.

Oh yeah, I also took antibiotics(mono,doxy & tetracycline) for 2-3 years, hoping that the acne would eventually stop, but it ALWAYS came back just as bad the following weeks after my prescription ran out. So yeah, if antibiotics doesn't clear your acne after stopping, then there's some other factor that's causing it. You'll have to go down the list and try every method that has cured people of their acne, many people post their cure stories on here all the time. Eventually you'll find it, though it may take a while, it took me 4 years.

Hi, i am 21 years old guy with serious acne problem. I already tried antibiotics two times. Before i used to get large cystic acne , which stopped after i took antibiotics , now i have different type of acne and i dont know what to do. Nothing seems to work, i just gave up and stopped doing anything. Only washed my face with water. Now my acne seems to be getting worse.

After i stopped washing my face with facewash , red pimples that hurt when touch kind of stopped , but now i get these type of pimples. Sorry for the attached photos, but could anyone please identify which type it is and what should i do to prevent it.

Hi! I actually agree with Mrs.R, that is a definite improvement over cystic acne! The infection is at a superficial level of the skin. I think you should try a topical, the regimen might work. If you have access to a derm, you may see some help with a BP/topical antibiotic combo like Benzaclin or acanya. I would start washing your face with facewash again - but something simple and active ingredient free for sensitive skin. I personally like cetaphil, but there are others out there.

First off, don't apologize at all! You have nothing to be sorry about Second it looks to me like inflamed pustules and clogged pores, so moderate acne. You could try the regime, I personally have never tried it but do think it's effective, but you should look into seeing a dermatologist. I know it may be extreme and not seeing your entire face may not be necessary, but Accutane might be a viable option for you. Stop the acne before it gets worse type of thing. Just a thought I know how frustrating it is, you should look at some of my old photos, they are much harder to look at than yours Chin up and focus on being proactive and getting the help you need.

Hey I would follow what other people have said and do the acne.org regimen with the AHA they sell on this site as well. That should really help you. Your pores probably got all clogged up from only using water and not exfoliating your skin.

Looks like your common-garden mild to moderate inflamed acne which would probably respond well to topicals like the Acne.Org Regimen which several people above already recommended. You'd have to speak to a derm for more exact info about your type of acne. It can be hard to judge from a photo what else may be going on that is contributing to the problem.
