Small, Flesh Colored Bumps Along My Cheek And Jaw Line.

I had clear skin for most of my adolescence with the exception of minor breakouts. I recently went off to college and over the course of my first semester my skin has broken out like never before.

Besides the inflamed pimples I have along my right cheek, I have these small flesh colored bumps covering both of my cheeks. These bumps become increasingly evident in the light and contain a stringy white pus inside. I don't wear makeup, but on the rare occasion i do, its a BB cream. Has anyone experienced these before and have any suggestions on how i could go about getting rid of them?

Thanks in advance. :)

Pardon the potentially offending presumption, but do you tweeze/wax darker facial hairs?

Because this sounds A LOT like INGROWNS. Shaving but especially improper tweezing/epilation technique can leave a sharp-tipped hair underneath the skin that pokes its way outside the hair follicle, and hurts infects fills with pus etc...manifests as a bump, sometimes minor when the hair pokes itself back out in its designated follicle after all later - or a harsh mess that can last weeks or months on end if the hair in question keeps coiling around underneath w/o exiting. Or, for shavers, exiting thru the wrong follicle, irritating both, and slowly getting worse as it keeps getting shaved off at the wrong exit and is never resurfaced properly OR removed entirely. Turning into chronic folliculitis. And CASCADING over onto neighbouring hairs in shavers/waxers/epilators, when the inflammation from the existing problem hair blocks a nearby hair's exit from its own follicle, leading it too to poke its way elsewhere and get stuck under the skin or in a messed up pierced follicle too.

Treatment: Bikini Zone medicated gel/creme (yep same problem as "bikini bumps", and that stuff is labelled as good for bumps/ingrowns anywhere not just down there specifically) - helps surface stuck ones, and will really reduce the red dots - hairs having difficulty clearing their follicle, but not poked thru sidewall yet - drastically, almost instantly

Prevention:

1) mild acne wipes, its NOT technically acne but salycilic or benzyl work on ingrowns too, and ingredients like witch hazel and aloe help with irritation

2) cleanse pores, witch hazel or "intimate / haemmorhoidal wipes" for an antiirritant antiseptic complete wipe with lotsa witch hazel in it works well - else clogged pores will make it worse

3) do not pluck/shave anything before using BOTH acne and cleansing wipes

4) disinfect tweezers regularly every couple hairs literally

5) slide dont yank hairs out, going in direction it grows in ONLY

And be real happy youre not a bloke, we get 20x more hair and thicker too
