Antibiotic Resistance

I was on lymecycline for around 6 months (it was great, cleared my face right up and stopped me getting a single spot for ages) but it started to become ineffective, presumably due to antibiotic resistant bacteria. I've been on erythromycin for 4 months but it's not been that good, and my skin is starting to get bad again. I've been using benzyol peroxide/clindamycin gel with the erythromycin tablets so I don't know if any improvement is attributable to the BP or the tablets.

Does anyone know if I would I be able to go back onto some kind of tetracycline antibiotic (maybe even lymecycline) without worrying about resistance? I'm concerned that the apparent resistance of my acne bacteria to lymecycline will impact the effectiveness of other tetracyclines? Because it doesn't sound like there's much else left out there apart from accutane!

Desparate to find a solution here, everything in my life is going well for once and if my skin ends up as bad as it was before then it'll ruin everything and I may as well just jump off a bridge.

Thanks guys.

yeah i would avoid that class of antibiotics and try the keflex. that should work for you. i took doxy and then became resistant and then was on zithromax and then erythromycin with no success and then started keflex after a 2 week break and it cleared me up very very fast. great stuff!
