Hello,
So,..I need some advices of dealing with the acne that is spreading.
My skin can change due to the seasonal change like for example, I have oily/combination and summer I have oily skin and winter I have normal/oily combo skin.
I do use "Ain't misbehaving" dermadoctor cleanser, glycolic toner from dermadoctor, and cetaphil oil-free spf 30 for daytime and clinic gel moisturizer for night.
I do use makeup and make sure that all the brushes are clean with alcohol.
Anyway, I am college student so, I do sometimes eat junk foods and I do get stressed out easily.
There is this huge pimple on my left lower cheek and I tried not to touch it but, one day it was like "leaking" (sorry for the nasty description). So, I had to squeeze a bit and blood came out so, I used toner as like disinfecting bacteria.
And now, there is another huge one right next to that huge pimple that I squeezed.
I know that I'm not supposed to touch it but, it was just bothering me so much!
What can I do to stop this?
I know it's hard, but you really need to not touch it (outside of washing, applying treatments, etc).
When you mess with it or squeeze it you can cause the bacteria to infect other pores. You can also spread the bacteria when applying makeup.
If you're going to wear makeup you should try to apply makeup to that area last.. like do your forehead, nose, chin, right cheek, do your left cheek but work around the spot, and then dab makeup on the spot. Also, use a separate brush for the spot. Wash the brush you used on the spot before you use it again.
Keep it as clean as possible. If you can get away with not putting makeup on it, try not to.
When washing your face or applying treatments, be gentle. Don't press hard or scrub.
Also, try a spot treatment at night, and see if that helps.
Like the above person mentioned it, don't touch it. It's not worth the hassle of a scar that it could create. It's been pretty widely dismissed that food can play a roll in acne, stress is debatable. I would also try tropicals and see if they help first, also schedule an appoitment with a dermatologist, that way they can explore the best treatment option. If it continues to spread, look into Accutane, and wieght your options.
