Hi!

I've been on Accutane twice already, it was when I was younger. I don't remember exactly what it was like, aside from dryness and some muscle pain. My acne isn't as controlled as I would like it to be, so my Dermatologist yesterday prescribed Accutane 40mg again for 4 months for now.

I want to go back on it, I just don't know if I should/can given what I have over the next few months. How disruptive is accutane to every day life? (I don't remember) I plan to go to Florida in December for a week, and Mexico a month after Accutane in May. Is a month enough after Accutane for significant sun exposure? I also have a LOT of studying to do for a licensing exam as I graduate in the spring, I just wouldn't want to be distracted because my skin is so dry/have muscle pain etc. or is it not that bothersome?

Just curious about your experiences. Did you travel/maintain normal lifestyle? Or was it a nuissance being on Accutane and is it better reserved for a time when you don't have much going on? (due to having to constantly apply moisturizer, etc)

I maintained a normal lifestyle except for the joint aches... Anxiety and depression from the dry flakey red face, and yeah... You'll need to keep like 45 SPF on your whole body at all times if your going to Florida and Mexico.
