I have been to my dermatologist for about 5 years I finally asked for accutane and she will give it to me in eight weeks if theres no progress. So far I will be on birth control (forgot the name) , tazorac, and this oral antiboitic (forgot the name) anyways has anyone been on anything similar and how long did it take for you to see results? Thanks
Many years ago I tried a number of antibiotics (i.e tetracycline, erythromycin etc) and found most helped within the first 3-4 weeks of using them but they only help for the short term and after a while the body builds up a resistance...that's the problem with antibiotics..Then about 7 years ago I went on a 6month course of Accutane which helped a great deal....ever since I use Panoxyl BP 10% aquagel which keeps things under control...the good thing about BP is that it isn't an antibiotic so the body doesn't build up a resistance.....
