Ive always wondered about this. The price per ounce for benzoyl peroxide in stores is ridiculous. It doesnt get much better even when I tried to price hunt online in the past. And aside from the price, most store BPs are 10%, some 5% as well. While I do feel that Dan's other products are near market average...the Benzoyl Peroxide is definitely a steal. And Im glad he does not try to make a killing with it...even though he could.
I mean hell, just look how much you usually have to pay for Neautrogena 2.5% BP thats a poorly vanishing cream. Its at least 5 dollars for only 3/4 of an ounce. I never understood how companies that greatly outsize Dan could be so expensive. Youd think large companies have the resources to buy in bulk and reduce prices (which is how it usually works). Somehow, some way...Dan is able to provide a great priced 2.5% BP that isnt a cream, and is actually a gel.
I was just thinking about this today while I was buying SPF at the store. I looked at the little tubes of BP and was actually pissed off at how much of a rip off they are lol
Hey at least you can find bp where you live. There are only 3 BP treatments I can find where I live, the neutrogena 2.5% spot treatment, perobar 5% soap and clear zit 10%
Clear zit is quite cheap the equivalent of $3 to $5 USD depending on where it's bought, and its a biggish tube.
Dans BP is better than every other I ever tried. (Had it shipped). It's great that it's cheap considering how much you have to use on the regimen.

True true.
I used to be so mad about how BP never worked well for me until I followed Dan's instructions. Whenever I spot treated, I kept breaking out. But the small store tubes basically force you to spot treat because of how small they are and how expensive it is to put on your whole face.
Im glad decided to sell his own BP some years ago. From what I read he didnt always have his own products when the website started.
Oh... BP never worked really worked for me, even on the regimen.
It's just that acne.org bp absorbed well, didn't leave any weird residue and never irritated my skin. It's the only one that showed some amount of improvement (although not enough). And yeah.. It was the cheapest

Its worked well for me so far. Im just not a fan of how BP zaps all of the moisture out of my face. I dislike having to use the amount of moisturizer I need to.
What I am really liking is that its really made shaving better for me. Since I have very curly beard hair, I was prone to ingrown hair. I actually would stop shaving at all because I didnt want the hair to grow into my skin after a shave. The BP seems to keep inflammation down around my chin and neck area, thus it seems the hairs grow out of my skin easier, and not into my skin. Ill be doing a full update and review of my first month on the regimen soon.
Do check my other thread soon.
