Hi guys! I am new here!

I've been battling acne since I was 14, and it's really such a pain in the ass and it really lowers my confidence level.

I've spent so much money on products that claim that they'll work. I'm not sure why ALL products doesn't work on my skin.

I even visited a dermatologist and is still visiting now, I'm really doubting if they can fix my horrible complexion.

Background on my skin:

Oily skin!!!!!

Enlarged pores?

I'm currently 18 now, why do I have to face all these man! :/

Why do I have so much bumps on my face! What are those? Black heads? Even after going for facials, it will grow back again!

My skin looks great at night, but definitely not in the morning or under harsh lighting! All this tiny bumps shows and is so so so disgusting. :(

Please help! Anyone facing this too?:/

Also I have red marks on my face since forever! They don't go away!?

Hey I totally understand how you feel. I've had acne since I was 11 and now I am 19. Some days I miss lectures and classes just because of the way my skin looks. I started a course of minocycline and was given a tropical treatment of duac gel. Overtime I've learnt a way that gets rid of inflammation and just generally makes my skin feel and look better. On days when my acne is feeling quite bad I scrub my face with olive oil and brown sugar. I do this for about two minutes. After washing my face with a light cleanser I take some freshly squeezed lemon juice and add a pinch of turmeric. It may sting a little however its nothing too unbearable. I sleep with it on my face. The next morning I take a light cleanser and just wash my face. You may need to wash it twice as the turmeric stains the face yellow. This really helps sore and inflamed areas, overtime it has also helped get rid of scars and pigmentation. I love this remedy and it's the only thing that has really given effective results without any side effects. Just for some extra help, in terms of covering acne up, I use a product called the kryolan tv paint stick. It really helps wipe out imperfections and you can also get a really natural look if you use it correctly. I really hope you try this and it works for you. Ultimately, treating acne is all about trial and error, hopefully very soon you will find something that will give you beautiful skin:) xoxoxo

Thank you so much and I'm glad someone feels me as well. Really sucks when I actually love school (friends, fun etc) but due to my horrible complexion I feel like I'm missing out a lot, avoiding people and stuff like that. 🙁 hope one day our complexions will be smooth as silk xx
