Acne Is A Sign Of Bad Genes

no girl likes a man with acne, this is a fact, if given the choice, to choose between 2 versions of the same guy, one with acne and the other one without, she would obviously pick the no acne version, any person who says, he or she would pick the acne one, is a hypocrite, and obviously biased

having clear skin, is a sign of having good genes, and good health, which is what all human beings subconsciously are attracted to, we all want the best genes possible for our offspring, this is why men and women, feel attracted to good looking people, this is why good looking people are put on a pedestal in society, because we realize it takes good genes, to look like that, we admire them, we treat them better than the rest, without even realizing it, we learn this since we are little kids, you cannot escape it, even if you despise good looking people, you will still subconsciously put them on a pedestal, and think higher of them, simply based on their looks.

This is why people who have acne, especially facial acne, suffer a lot, and want so badly to cure it, because they realize deep down, that having acne, is a sign of having bad genes, this is why you are ashamed of having acne, this is why you are embarrassed that people see your facial acne, because you know they are gonna think less of you, and why would they think less of you?

because is a sign of bad genes

Why would all acne sufferers, feel so embarrassed of their acne, and want to cure it so bad. Notice the word ''sufferers'' it means you are suffering from something, but acne is not a disease, and you're not gonna die from it, is simply cosmetic, which proves my point, that all humans care a lot about looks, otherwise, you wouldn't be so concerned with your acne, and you wouldn't be trying to cure

The reason why you hate acne, and want to cure so bad, is because you don't want be thought as someone who has bad genes, because that would make you inferior that the rest, who don't have acne. This is why many ''suffer'', they simply want to be accepted, they simply want to be considered to have normal genes at least

This is why back acne, is not as psychologically damaging as facial acne, because you can cover it, thus you can hide with clothes, the fact that you have bad skin genes, but you cannot hide your face, everyone can see it at any time, this is why you are embarassed, the pimples themselves, mean nothing, it is what they represent what matters, like I said, to everyone it represents a sign of bad genes

I think acne is more of a sign for a lack of good physical/ mental conditioning, which could affect anybody. I feel that while genetics play a role in how people acquire acne, having acne should not necessarily mean bad genetics overall.

Hey Orlando158. I agree with you on most of your post except for the first one about a girl preferring a guy who doesn't have acne vs a guy who does. Life is never that cut and dry. The reason a girl may choose the guy without acne, could be for a number of reasons. Those who suffer from acne tend to lack confidence. If you owned your acne and weren't ashamed of it and didn't use it as a clutch "the girl" may see past the acne, bad genes and all. I noticed from my own experiences that those who just are themselves and live their lives with acne can be fairly attractive. It's about you and if a person is lucky enough to get to know you, and likes YOU, your acne won't mean anything. Now there aren't many incidents of this because it's hard to really appreciate every aspect of what makes you, you when u have acne. I'm not gonna give the world too much credit because there are some pretty shitty people in the world but it's not fair to just assume that all people are that shallow.

Also, I am an acne sufferer as well but the reason I want to cure it isn't just so that others can look graciously upon me. It's so that I can change how I see myself. I like myself better without acne.

I clearly said, if given the choice to choose between 2 versions of the SAME guy, 2 exact clones that she has never met before, with the same looks, same personality, etc, only difference is one has acne, and one doesn't

You cannot see the fact that how others see you, is affecting how you see yourself, you depend on other people's acceptance, we all do, you say, I want to change how I see myself and I would like myself better without acne, but acne is simply a cosmetic problem, and the only reason is considered negative, is because society said so, why is it negative, because is not the norm, is a lack of bad genes

You want to be cured to be accepted, thus accepting yourself, only reason you think you would look better without acne, is because society has led you to believe that, you cannot escape the system

regardless of the cause, what matters is how people see it, for all people, acne is a sign of having bad genes, I'm not talking about a few pimples, that the average teenager develops for a while, I'm talking about real acne here, what the average person on this site has

To be honest, I totally disagree. Acne is a sign of high testosterone levels, and that's something which women are attracted to in men, if we're talking about subconscious attraction, here. Consciously, yeah, I don't think acne is a particularly attractive trait for either gender to have, but that doesn't really impact the chance of a person procreating drastically.

Also, the term "bad genes" is incredibly unscientific. Genes can't be categorized in this way, especially as individual differences and preferences exist.

Of course there are psychological effects of acne, especially facial, but that is more of a societal issue and the superficial values we've created.

Acne is a sign of different genes that make one prone to the hyperproliferation of skin cells that can lead to acne. But there may be a good reason for it, so not 'bad' at all.

For example, people genetically prone to developing type II diabetes are adapted to survive famine, but in this land of too much crap food and sedentary, yet chronically stressful sleep deprived lifestyles, they develop diabetes. While we develop acne.

But it doesn't mean we are any more unhealthy than the next person. They are unhealthy too. Almost everyone around you is unhealthy. They just don't get acne.

Hey orlando158

I think you missed the part where I said it wouldn't and shouldn't matter to the girl what condition your face is in as long as you're happy with yourself. If you could choose between an acne free version of yourself and a version of you with acne, you would choose the acne free version. However, if the person picked the acne free version of you, it could probably be because it's how you prefer yourself. He/she would pick a version where you seem most content with yourself. Not everything is so black and white. This is debatable and though my experiences have led me to feel this way, it seems yours hasn't.

Now as far as how I see myself. Do you enjoy waking up in the morning with large painful pimples? Do you enjoy your face being so covered with them that your face is constantly sore and uncomfortable? I don't! I'm not saying that peoples perception of me doesn't effect me, but it's not the main reason why I try to resolve my acne. I'm just over the large painful bumps. I'm over the physical discomfort. Now I don't know if there are many others that feel this way but I just thought i'd share my perception on things. Most people can be judgmental and extremely shallow but some aren't that transparent. Speaking from my experiences alone.

pretty obvious acne doens't equal high testosterone levels as some girls have acne and girls don't produce much testosterone, thus disproving ur hypothesis sir

Sigh. It's not a hypothesis. It's scientific fact. Google it. Hell, the information is even on this website! Women can also have elevated levels of testosterone. That's why some women break out before their period, or after, or two weeks before, because the levels of hormones are constantly changing.

Orlando is just a stirrer . in a comment he left on one of my posts he totally contradicts himself .. insisting that weight lifting is the cause of my sons acne [& i am not disagreeing that it may increase the effects of acne] but isn't that just proving your above testosterone comment incorrect?

ROFL, I know, I noticed right away that it was orlando and didn't even read it. That guy is on some serious drugs.

Man, you've gotta have no life whatsoever if you spend your time trolling an acne forum.. Otherwise you're just purely ignorant. I extended my pity to you, dear.
