Indented Scab

If the shallow indent is still a bit dry and scabby, can it fill up soon?

Basically, i had a tiny pimple on nose, which eventually turned into scab on its own. The scab fell off on its own too, and had left a tiny indent which is still dry and red. Can this heal soon? The skin also seems to be a bit stretched towards the edges.

I think it can. I've had lots of scabs on my face that looked indented, but then healed like there was never anything there. Try to up your intake of vitamin C to help the healing!

Cool, I think ive had similar before, its just the area of skin its on is quite thin so its probably more noticeable.

How long does collagen take to repair itself after a wound? A few weeks?

If it remains indented do not fret. With today's treatments for scarring, getting rid of one indent shouldn't be too hard if it is small and shallow. if it remains after some time, you can look into dermarolling or laser spot treatment. Do you still have active acne? I was all into scar treatment until I realized I need to focus more on getting rid of my breakouts which could cause even more scarring first and then secondly look into getting rid of the aftermath they can leave behind. People with minor scarring such as three or four spots are lucky because there is a chance for significant improvement, its only when there is a whole face or scars when things get difficult to treat

I do get active acne occasionally, but im on a routine which is really helping. I dont tend to have a lot of acne, but rather very big cysts in bad places.

At home in Japan, i would get my cysts lanced by a professional but this is something that doesnt seem to be done as often over here , and many people tell me that it is bad and i should use topicals.

Anyway, i do sometimes get shallow indents. I had one on my nose a while back which i needled and got rid of, but ive never had an indented scab before. I hope it goes soon.

I'm not sure how long the healing process can take. I think it varies. I've had a few indented marks before from pimples which I was really worried about and then a few months they disappeared like they were never there. So maybe months?

Ok, it kinda looks a bit better, more scabby and the edges seem be taking the longest to fill up
