Guys changing pillowcases daily is a headache especially if you are living alone. Do you think we need pillows that are bacteria free and don't need to be washed weekly?

yes but changing your pillowcase or putting a tshirt does help...after all sleeping on a pillowcase for a week is like rubbing a piece of fabric on your face and scalp for eight hours and then doing it again the next night for eight more hours. It sure plays a part in acne breakout :(

I don't know whats the cause and I can safely say NOBODY knows it. If it was so black and white, acne wouldn't have been such a mess for everybody. You just have to try something that makes sense and changing your pillowcase DOES make sense!

did you feel a significant difference?

It's a big hassle to change your pillow case every night? You get an F for effort.

I like to attack acne on multiple fronts, that just makes sense

clean pillowcases every other night with free detergent, sensible supplements, no gluten and no dairy for me, I have a topical routine that works as well

some people are lucky, oh I took a vitamin D capsule and I'm clear for life, yeah well good for them, for others we have to fight on every front, every day

accutane didn't work for me and I've really searched for my triggers, it's hard work, lots of journaling and detective work, but for me it's paid off, but again I attack on multiple fronts

I am glad you are constantly trying to experiment. I guess this is really important because there is no FIXED solution for everyone. Something that works for you might not work for me :(. But I believe in doing something that makes sense and changing pillowcases regularly does make a lot of sense.

I just put a towel on my pillow each night. It takes 5 seconds and is easy.

I don't rub my face on the towel because once I fall asleep I usually stay in the same place all night. People that know me think it's a little crazy and " over the top " that I have to sleep with my face on a clean towel every night but it obviously makes sense to sleep on a clean pillow/towel if you have acne and it's NOT being over the top at all. Some people just don't get it!

Exactly thats my point. If something makes sense, then there is no point NOT doing it.....
