Hi guys,
Firstly thanks for taking a read.
I just want to see if anyone else has had this problem before, I have suffered from minimal mild acne in the past which got better while taking Doxy. Recently my skin mainly around the cheers and temple area (also under the eyes) have become itchy, blotchy with the tiniest little white heads.
Although I have suffered from a few skin disorders which have been only confined to my face I find it annoying that I cannot find the culprit, is it allergic reaction ( I live in a hot place, as before I lived in a very cold place ) Is it Rosacea, dermatitis, or plain old acne. Since getting older the acne has gone.
While writing this my skin is very itchy, I use Benzac, and use clindamycin only on large under skin spots that form around the mouth when I rarely get.
Would you guys recommend getting a blood test to rule out allergy? The problem with where I live is that hospital care for this type of problem is rare and finding a good dermatologist is tough, I know there are people with a hell of a lot worse, but its something that affects me and something I would like to be able to control.
Again thanks for helping.

(I must also mentioned that this gets worse, then better, then mild, then non existent)

So its a flare up that reccurs often?
Have you tried to rule anything out yet?
. Whenever i get a reaction (dry, red , rough itchy skin that feels a bit hot) I never put anything strong on it, i use a natural moisturiser or a flannnel to try ad help with the tightness.
I dont put anything else on my face then till it has healed.
Have you used something on your face recently that may have flared it up, or even a combintaion of things could cause this...
Im not sure what to do...but like you said, it is not the worse thing in the world and you should be greatful you dont have painful cystic acne
Hi Bonsai,
I totally agree!
It's pretty weird, I'm starting to think it's some form of allergic reaction because of the tiny whiteheads. The skin as you can see is blotchy, no raised spots.
I stopped using Cetaphil a while back and reintroduced it this could be something to do with it. ( When I stopped using it things were better if I can recall ) I'm just going to use cold water to rinse and no products or creams.
I'll give that a go and see if it gets better, it seems I have this flushed look a lot.
