Hello,
I'm currently 18, and I have moderate acne. I've had acne since I was 12 and it's always been on the moderate side, never super severe, but considerably noticeable and enough to make me want to hide away and never show my face.
I'm currently experiencing self confidence issues and I believe in purposely not seeking out people because of acne, I do have other issues that cause me to be anti social but acne is obviously the physical one. I don't want to do anything but hide away until it gets better, yet I have to face the world every day. I currently use a benzo peroxide scrub and st Ives cleanser, aswell as a non greasy moisturizer. I still have acne, on my neck, cheeks, chin, chest, and back. It's really embarrassing. I even have this big one that looks like a Monroe right on my lip and I look ridiculous! I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror.
I've tried everything from standard prescriptions to over the counter, even accutane, twice. Literally when I say everything, I've tried everything.
I'm going to try the regimen soon so hopefully it will help.
Any suggestions or advice?
I feel your pain. My dermatologist gave me prednisone(steroids) to heal my rash. And it has broken me out like never before in my life. I have hundreds of small pimples on my face. I missed 2 interviews because of it. And the worst part is I cant just quit the steroids due to life risk. I have to slowly taper off it. Its going to be 4 weeks before I'm off it.
The worst part is am allergic to acne antibiotics and I've tried all the dermatologist cream and they all made my acne worse.
Stay strong! Acne is not us.
You didn't try everything because if you did you wouldn't be here right now. I'm assuming that your caucasian. Try avoiding Gluten and dairy for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks start eating them again. If that doesn't work, hit me up. I can help you find the cause. Those are just the 2 most common causes for caucasians and the best place to start.
Ps... I bet if it's gluten or dairy you will know in a couple days.
