Hey
So I'm 27 and have had pretty bad acne for the past 6 months or so, I'm currently on a combo of doxycycline, differin and dianette.
I'm on week 9 of dianette and was really hoping it would clear my acne as its supposed to be very good but I haven't really seen an improvement and still breakout pretty much daily.
Should I stop taking it? Can it still work for me?!
Thanks
Definitely don't stop taking it unless you've had worrying side effects. You should always give a treatment at least 3 months before deciding whether or not it's working for you and birth control can sometimes take longer. I was still breaking out pretty regularly at that point on Dianette as well but my skin is much better now at month 5 so it was definitely worth sticking it out. Hope things improve for you soon!
I'm just SO FRUSTRATED grrr! I feel it'll just never get better, really messing me up emotionally
Believe me, I was the same and was thoroughly convinced that it was never going to work for me. But then it did start improving slowly, and then at a faster pace after that, and now it really is significantly better than it was. Hang in there and it might all be worth it in the end!
