Hi guys,

Firstly can I say how good this forum is and how good it feels to be able to talk with other people who know how it feels to suffer from breakouts and acne.

Basically you guys I suffered bad skin since a teenager. From 16-18 I grew out of it but every few months I would get a really bad breakout. I started using Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser for Dry Combination to Normal Skin Types 150ml and it worked. It didn't really dry my skin out or irritate it and it didn't leave me too oily. I used it along with Duac and when my skin did feel tight I would use Clinique moisture surge moisturizer.

Like all mums, my mum wanted to help me get even clearer skin so she took it upon herself to speak to a clinique adviser at my local boots and she recommended I start using Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Cleansing Foam 125ml and so I did. I started using it 6 days ago and guys I tell you no word of a lie...my skin has never been worse.

I was prone to the occasional one or two white heads on my chin, as my chin is where I would usually break out. Not this time, within a day or two my chin was red and inflamed. It came itchy. White heads were appearing by the hour and as they would die and go green another two would come in its place. They made my chin and mouth area so tight and tingly that i couldn't actually speak properly. Last night it got so bad in work that I had to leave and walk in the cold air to cool my face and stop me from itching. Now guys I know that I am meant to allow a few weeks for my skin to get used to a new product but I am guessing from this reaction that this is not normal. I had prepared myself for a break out, but not one as serious as this.

So today I went back to boots and the lady at clinique swapped it free of charge for Clinique Comforting Cream Cleanser for Very Dry to Dry Skins 150ml as this product is just a basic soothing wash so tonight I used it and she recommended to reduce redness and irritation that I lather the area with sudacrem so that's what i have done. I am sitting here with a chin full of sudacreme writing this in hope that maybe my story can help someone or make someone feel better as everyone elses stories have made me feel.

I will keep you guys updated on how the sudacreme works for me and the wash but after hearing how my skin reacted and that I am usually prone to the occasional white head especially on the chin area, can you guys notice anything I am doing wrong or have any idea what the problem could be.

I am a 21 year old male by the way.

And due to my skin breaking out so bad after using the anti-blemish solution I have had to grow my beard out to cover up the redness and the 9-14 small whiteheads that come and go on my chin.

Guys thank you so much!!

Hope to hear from some of you soon!
