Get a dermatologist to give you a cortisone shot.

If it's been there for three years then it's not a pimple. A cortisone shot won't do anything, since cortisone just reduces inflammation of the area. BP obviously won't do anything.

It's probably a hypertrophic scar. You need to provide more info. Did you have some sort of pimple or burn in that area before the bump appeared? Did it suddenly appear on its own?

Definitely go to a derm.

Cortisone doesn't reduce inflammation, it actually atrophies the skin. So even if it is not a pimple, it can still reduce whatever that mass is.
