So I recieved cortison shots from my dermatologist to bring down the inflamation of my acne. When he injected them, it would bleed a little. If my acne were cystic, would it bleed and would he inject it with cortisone?

Anything?? Sorry for the impatience--I'm just trying to figure out if my acne was cystic and I don't think so since cystic acne has puss when you inject it, but I'm not sure

I have had many injected, and cystic acne is very deep and I have definitely had pin point bleeding from the injections... so that is normal, and you should see the swelling down in 24 hours and continue to shrink over a couple of days

Question to you two... do the injections hurt? I imagine it hurts a lot more than something like taking blood. At least the veins in your arm don't already hurt...my acne hurts, so I fear getting injected would hurt a LOT.

they pinch a little...I don't think I have cysts though I just think its papules/inflamation. Cysts have pus inside I thought?

You're going crazy lol. You sound so nervous about it.

Cortisone shots are not painful at all. They just pinch a bit, but that's it. And I'm pretty sure pus doesn't squirt out when you inject it, since I think the chemical itself in the cortisone gets rid of the pus (bacteria) inside the cyst, or whatever you say you have.
