Hey everyone, I'm new here. I've always had acne prone skin and a few small pimples here and there but lately I had a random breakout.

I usually use neutrogena face bar soap twice a day (once morning once with shower at night) and I then put 99% aloe vera gel on my face after washing with neutrogena and leave it on overnight.

But since this breakout, I bought an acne cleanser and use that right after the second time I wash my face with neutrogena and then put the aloe vera on. I was just wondering whether this is overkill or how many times to wash my face with the soap and cleanser and whether I should keep aloe vera gel on overnight.

Also, should I put fair and lovely multivitamin cream on overnight instead? Or during the day? Or would it not help

Please help!

Okay first stop- just because your breaking out doesnt mean you add to your skincare. Go back to the store and return the acne cleanser. those are too harsh- really you can do more harm by adding products. wash your skin before bed- wash when you wake up. Dont eat processed foods, spicy foods, coffee, a lot of dairy, lots of salt, or sugar. Think about what your ingesting before you eat it- ie. where did this come from? How fresh is this? Did it grow from a tree? What created this product. Be one with your body- also seeing a derm for your skin is a good idea because this is just a form. You would go see a dr for a sour throat, why not see one for acne? You get your eyes checked? And the result is you get glasses. Go to a derm- she will guide you like every other dr does. :) good luck!
