kat vod D concealer I use it as foundation since its kid of watery . and the colors match better on skin than some other make ups. I 2 had trouble matching my skin color . it was 2 light or 2 dark . kat vod D seems to match me very well

mh i like Nars Sheer Glow- but it isnt oil free but works wonders right now because im on accutane and doesnt seems to cause any breakouts irritation. But they make a nars sheer matt too. Erhmm Clinique Even better foundation works pretty well except there lightest shade is to dark for me (yeah im pale). Also for dry skin i find using any kind of brush for my foundation is just a huge no no. I take my nars take a latex free sponge break the little end off so theres almost flat surface thats bumpy and i put stipple onto my skin without tugging. Im sorry i dont really use drugstore foundations because i find they dont really work well with me. Good Luck

well ideally, I am looking for an oil free one just in case I do break out from it, I don't have much luck with oil at all. I was looking into clinque but the shades and ingredients didn't look too good, I am pretty pale on my face too, so if a foundation is too dark it really isn't flattering at all. Yeah I use my fingers, I am pretty good at applying makeup, but my skin has become so dry it is hard to work with it... thanks a lot tho:)

I use Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream. It doesn't break me out and has WONDERFUL coverage. You said you're pale-- so am I. And it doesn't look weird on my skin at all. It actually sort of oxidizes to your skin color.

I don't have very dry skin, so I put a little powder over it. But I think it would work perfectly for someone with dry skin You can find it at Lioele.com and you can order the sample size. It lasts such a long time, too. Good luck!

I'm actually going to the store to get some Kat Von D Foundation to mix with my Lioele BB cream because I have pretty oily skin. I think the Kat Von D foundation is supposed to be "mattifying," so I think it will be perfect for my skin.

But I must say, Lioele BB cream has been awesome and sometimes I can even go without moisturizer or sunscreen because it acts as both

I have a similar issue, I'm using the Vichy Dermablend, and it's not really mixing well with my skin on Accutane. It was perfect when my skin was less dry, but now it just seems to cling to the dry areas, and it looks pretty obvious that I'm wearing foundation. I think it's just a very highly-pigmented liquid that is supposed to give high coverage, so it sinks into pores very easily, and it doesn't sit well on dry skin. I'm really not sure where to look now, but I was considering a BB cream. I might look into the Lioele one.

I'm not sure if you've ever tried a BB cream, but the ones from the US like Garnier BB cream are suuuuper light coverage. I used one a while back and hated it. It was more like a tinted moisturizer. The Lioele one is definitely more like a full-coverage foundation.

I've tried Clinique's even better foundation and it was awful. I'm pretty pale also and the color I got was way too dark and orangey. I'm not sure whether it was that specific type ( I'm not sure what's in the foundation because it is supposed to help with dark spots) but it broke me out. I use a little bit of bareminerals and that's good for me.

It all seems quite confusing to me, haha. I'm just looking for something that will hydrate my skin, as well as give me a good coverage. There's nothing worse than a heavy-sitting foundation that clings to dry patches, but I'd rather put up with that than avoid covering my skin, as I'm way too self conscious. Can I find the Lioele cream in the UK? I looked for it on Amazon and it's around £20, but was wondering if I could find a tester first. Do they come in one skin colour?

I find the Revlon Colourstay for Normal/Dry skin is pretty good. I also have used the Vichy Dermablend thinking it would work miracles and was disappointed when it didn't! The only issue with the Revlon Colourstay is it is quite limited in the colour choices (ironic considering it's name) so I have to use a shade slightly lighter than my skin tone and then use powder to blend down my neck so i'm all one colour!

I forgot to mention that this makeup only comes in one shade. It's really good for pale girls and it works for a range of paler shades (super pale to medium) because it kind of turns the color of your skin after about 10 minutes of wear.

I'm currently using Smashbox's new Liquid Halo foundation, after trying out a few other brands (bourjois, stila, mineral makeup). My skin is on the oily side, and I think this foundation would work even better on dry skin. So far, it hasn't broken me out and I have been using it for 2 weeks. Smashbox foundations never break me out, although not all the ingredients are good. Anyway, this one blurs imperfections but it is a bit on the light coverage side, so I use a concealer underneath.

Wow, thank you! I will definitely try ordering the sample sizes first. I've noticed that the price on Amazon UK for the standard tube is £20, which actually isn't bad for a Korean BB Cream (I was looking into creams such as Dr. Jart, and that's £45 alone!). Oh that's great, I'm quite pale so that sounds even better! I sometimes find that "ivory" toned foundations are a little too pale for me though, cause I have a yellow tint rather than the reddish tint that is common to pale skin. My foundation at the moment is looking ridiculous because it's now too pale for me after all the sun exposure, and the dry skin issue is making it look worse. So I'll make sure to look into this asap, and will definitely check the video out, thank you.

I dried revlon, and it was awful it had glitter in it, and dried my skin out. I went back to my vichy, but i changed the under moisturizer that I was using as a base, and it blends alot better, it's a good foundation, and doubt it's breaking me out, I think my problem is I need a good primer too..

I've read all your posts and it;s funny how many of them I have tried, like bareminerals etc, they all were so orangey and awful! I may stay with the vichy one for now, and look into a primer, It looks great if i blend it correctly, all foundations can look awful if you dont do it right, or if your skin type isn't right for it. It's so difficult.

I am still trying to find a foundation that is the same shade as me, or even lighter, lighter the better, I;d prefer to be paler than orange.

I didn't have much luck with the concealer when I first tried it, the color didn't match me so I gave up on it but maybe I should try it again now. I think they reformulated it.

I feel the same way about sheer foundations, but actually the liquid halo is buildable and manages to cover everything when I use concealer underneath. I used to use smashbox's HD healthy fx foundation for 2 years, and even when I had bad acne people couldn't believe it. No foundation is going to cover up bumps, but these foundations are designed for people who get photographed a lot (which I don't lol) so they make you look flawless in photos. My profile picture was taken when I had a reaction to a glycolic peel and my whole face was red and irritated, but the foundation managed to disguise it quite well.

The liquid halo is supposed to blur imperfections, and I think it does that quite well. I tried the studio skin foundation too, which is full coverage, but I couldn't get it off afterwards, it felt too heavy on my skin. So now I stick with lightweight and just use 2 coatings.

Here's my usual routine:

Wash face, use toner (either evian spray or mineral fusion toner). Wait until my face is dry. Apply cover fx spf 30 primer. Wait until it dries. Sometimes I use meow cosmetics' powder primer too if it's a humid day to absorb the oil. Then I apply concealer - I'm still trying out a few, haven't settled on one because I can never find my shade. Right now I use a revlon concealer and a maybeline one, and blend them together to match my skintone. Then I wait for that to dry otherwise the foundation on top smears it. After it dries, I apply the first layer of foundation, and if I need a second layer I wait for it to dry and apply more on top. Then I wait for that to dry and put blush on (korres mixed with a lillylolo blush sample I got), and meow's top coat finishing powder to keep the shine away.

Usually, I don't have to blot a lot with this foundation, but sometimes I'll use foundation sponges or blotting paper to touch up. I never have to reapply foundation during the day, which is what I like about it. It stays on and looks better as it settles. Other foundations (like stila) look good for the first hour and then turn into an orange mess. Basically the key is to let every layer dry before you apply something else on top.
