I usually just squeeze it with my fingers, but that leaves the area red for days/weeks. I've also tried the hot towel method, but that leaves the area just as red.
I was told to start using a needle? Puncture the top of the whitehead, then get a tissue to get all the crap out. I was told this is the only way to do it without developing redness.
Have any of you tried this?
Yes I have been doing this for years. I find that poking a hole in the whitehead and then lightly squeezing it out reduces the duration of the redness it leaves afterwards. I emphasize lightly because if you apply too much pressure then it will be the same as not using a needle at all. All the needle method is doing is it opens up a door for it ooze out easily.
