I have never gotten non cystic acne especially not on my forehead or jawline. Last month, I got a facial and the facialist applied all kinds of stuff including a peel. I have no idea what type of peel it was. She didn't tell me and I didn't care to ask. lol I just wanted my skin cleaned. It was either a glycolic, salicylic, lactic or TCA peel...I have no idea what %.
Soon after, I got some small bumps on my jawline and a whole bunch of them on my forehead. They are flesh colored. There's nothing inside of them...I tried to squeeze them but nothing comes out. They have not gotten bigger or smaller. I tried to take a picture but they don't show up on camera.
I honestly don't know if the peel caused them but that's the only thing I can think of. Has anybody experienced this? How do you get rid of the bumps? Drying them out hasn't worked...not sure what to do.
Any and all help and advice would be greatly appreciated
Side note: I read some of the other posts on flesh colored bumps and it is not milia. Mine are bigger and they aren't soft but I know a cyst when I see one and this isn't one either. Doesn't hurt or anything. Doesn't have anything inside of it.
It's either clogged pores: The peels have brought the gunk to the surface. Two - Three weeks of careful exfoliation and no irritation (to make sure they don't turn into inflamed pimples), and they should go away.
Or an allergic reaction. Check drugs you're taking to see if they have any affect on the face (through google), and check anything new you've put into your diet or on your face and get rid of it.
Again, it may take up to three weeks before they disappear if it is an allergic reaction
Thank You all so much for responding. Aannabill, yep it was really stupid of me to let her put stuff on my skin without knowing what she was applying. I didn't think it would hurt my skin since it was supposed to be a facial with a very light peel. Big mistake. I will never do that again. My forehead still has bumps all over it and I also got cysts...about 8 of them. They are tiny and you can't see them but the skin is now red! And more are coming out. It happened after I got the facial with peel so that's the only thing I can think of that caused it. I don't know what caused it but it was either the peel or whatever else she applied. I do get small cysts but now I am getting them everywhere and more than I usually get at once.
Zefferson, some gunk came to the top. All the bumps got little blackheads in them so I did a bad thing and poke at them all. All kinds of crap came out. ugh. I am so upset. The bumps are still there though. They haven't gone down. I went to her to get them cleaned out but she didn't even touch them and when I mentioned that I had never had a reaction before she said it was probably because I switched from washing my face with warm water to washing it with cold water. I am going to wait it out and hope it clears up. I don't know what else to do.
