I have read in the past that since Salicylic acid is pretty much Aspirin. That using a 2% salicylic face wash, being absorbed through the skin is the equivalent of 1/3 a baby aspirin. Being that aspirin is a NSAID, someone who needs to avoid NSAID's should probably avoid Salicyclic Acid.

Does anyone know if there is any similar absorption effects with Benzoyl Peroxide?

I only ask because I am receiving Prolotherapy (Non surgical ligament reconstruction) via Needles which basically stimulate what your body should be doing when you tear a ligament and it heals itself.

In order to heal i need to avoid all NSAID's and have a prime immune system. So ive stayed away from salicylic acids, curious about BP though

A tiny amount (5%) is absorbed. In the blood, it's metabolized into benzoic acid and then excreted via urine. No problems, I suspect.
