My skin gets so angry and red when I use it in large areas. I've had a massive breakout (6-7 pimples) in the past day or so and the BP is the only thing I've changed so I reckon that could be why.
I found another post on the forum from ages ago and the guy had the same kind of redness on his chin that I do, and people were saying he could be allergic to BP, so I'm definitely just going to use tiny amounts to spot treat when I need it.
Thanks aanabill!
personally i dnt use bp now as much.
but if and when i see something that could become a zit/acne or a under the skin bump,i apply bp(the usual 3.5 % gel i have) in less that a pin point size amount at night.
very very less.
bp in more than 'little' amount even as spot treatment causes this brownish dried skin(on the spot, healed or otherwise) - almost like a mild burn.
it goes away within few days.
but its the best bet to treat a zit or acne and stop it at bud fast.
I've also been using just enough to cover the spot, and I've had no new breakouts in the past few days and the redness/irritation has gone down some, so it seems the BP was the cause after all. I'm thinking of switching to a tea tree gel/pure tea tree instead so I'll see how that goes.
Thanks again for the help
