Hello I am new to this forum and it is great.
I had a cystic acne nodule drain yesterday and a cortisone shot. Now the pea of almost all gone but I still feel some of the hard bump in my skin. The derm said the cyst was deep and he got most of it out however I am afraid it will come back.
How this happened to anyone? A cyst not fully drained and it coming back?
Best,

Yes if the plug of the cyst isn't removed it will return. All pimples start when a sebum plug blocks oil from flowing freely from the pore. Then your pore becomes infected, inflamed and sore.
Products that are able to disolve oil and dead skin are a must have for people suffering from cystic acne. Acids like salicylic acid and madelic acid work great but take a little time to see results.
Mandelic acid is my favorite. If you use it as a spot treatment on your cystic pimple it can either make it come to head and it can be drained and the plug will pop right out. Or it will travel into the pore and disolve all the gunk. It also keeps dead skin from building up on the surface.
