Ok. I know this topic is too mainstream and I know its a bit sensitive but I just need to know if there are boys like me in this page who are experiencing the same.
I am 15 years old(turning 16 this August) and you know just like other boys of my age, I sometimes jerk off or masturbate just to get rid of those sexual urges which can be really annoying and embarrassing as well.
I just notice that whenever I do "it", I get more and more pimples and my acne gets worse. I'm serious about this and I dont know if it's me or there's really a link between masturbation and acne. You know these past few weeks I didnt masturbate at all and I noticed that my skin got calmer. I still have acne but its not that bad anymore compared to those days that I jerk off. Sometimes I think I'm crazy or being delusional. I've read a lot of articles online. Some of them say that no, acne and masturbation isnt connected but there are also other people who say that masturbation do make your acne worse.
So I just need boys like me to tell if you're experiencing the same. If you also get more and more pimples just because of wanking. You know, I'm not asking you guys if you think masturbation and acne are connected because I know this would cause some arguments or a "word war". All I want you is to tell me about your own experience. If you experience the same or not. I'm just so confused and frustrated. I wanna stop doing "it" but its the only way that I can get rid of those sexual urges or sexual tension. Please help me guys and please comment politely.
I think it's just a persistent myth that somehow got circulated about some sort of connection between acne & masturbation. Just to give you a bit of information from my own personal experience, when I was really young, like 16 or 17, I did the "no masturbation" challenge for about two months to see if there's a correlation. I felt like an idiot the entire time I did it, and during that two month period I still broke out like I normally do with no noticeable improvements and no noticeable worsening of my acne either.
So again just my personal opinion/experience, but I can pretty much say with conviction that there's no direct link between how often you whack off and acne. Acne is bacterial and I don't see how that has anything to do with how often you bust some nuts.
I'm a girl but I'm just going to give my opinion anyway (hope that's okay?) but it could be because of a surge of hormones? I don't know if that is proven though. Personally, from experience when I've had sex and had an orgasm my skin has improved but I am past puberty, so maybe that's why?
The only way of knowing is if you stop for like two months and then masturbate, but youll have to make sure you stay absolutely consistent with your skin care routine because if youre using different products here and there then you'll never know if its them thats actually making your skin better and not you abstaining,
Mabye your skin improved and/or calmed when you did not masturbate because you change something , you perhaps ate different or it was just the time for your skin to improve.I doubt that masturbation can accutaly cause acne or make it worse,there's no medical research on this one,if you want to masturbate ,do it.
