Hi I'm an 18 year old male and have been on accutane for about a little over a month I was put on 20 mg once a day for the first month then I was put on 30 mg for this month once a day. And I was wondering what face soap and lotion to use? I've been using cetaphil antibacterial bar soap every morning and night then after I wash I use cetaphil face lotion with SPF 15 it's works but my my face is ether always red or pink my skin isn't dry becuase I use lotion and my face is soft but it's always really red or pink and my body is tan. I'm also out in the sun 6 hours a day skateboarding but I use oil free SPF 55 sun screen and re apply every 1 to 2 hours! And still pink or red somebody help me!!!
No, it's not that red - looks more like the lighting is giving that impression. Just be careful of the sun, please! I don't want to sound like a mum, I know you enjoy skateboarding and being active but maybe also wear a baseball cap, just for the extra protection? I took Roaccutane at 16 for 8 months and received some nasty burns even with all the sunscreen and care I took. It just happens.
Doesn't look that red at all to me, however I noticed that you're lighter under the eye are so I can see the difference.
Try doing a face mask with honey + turmeric or perhaps using a green primer or moisturiser? Aveeno ultra calming moisturiser is supposed to really help with facial redness
