Hi acne.org community,

Seeing as I've been using acne.org regimen products for the past few months I've thought it appropriate to register here and share my spots of bother... ahaha...

I've been acne prone since I was 13 and now I'm 17, and the severity has worsened. Proactiv did work for me until about two years ago, and that's when I had to take a different approach. So far acne.org's BP treatment in conjunction with the AHA+ (which I've been using for just a week) has really helped take down the deep down cystic acne, and even combatted other annoyances like blackheads. While that's all well and good, I've come to the conclusion it's not going to go away any time soon, and I'm sure my days of going out barefaced are over. But it's definitely great for maintenance.

Attached are some alright-quality pictures of my cheeks from literally moments ago. While acne is kind of at bay I still have a pretty awful complexion due to just everything I've tried and done to my skin in pursuit of a 'cure'.

Anyway, that's my story. I'd like to know what you think of my skin and what you would classify my acne/skin type as out of curiosity, and perhaps recommend something from what you see?

Good luck to all,

Monsterbarb x

Well, I have seen a tremendous improvement in just a couple of weeks, but if you tilt the computer screen you can see my mottled complexion, which has lots of under the skin bumps and redness. One of the problems with me is only a third of my pimples actually come to a head, and the rest just sit there for months on end.

Welcome to the forums! While I'm sure you're self conscious of your acne, your skin appears to be doing well but definitely keep fighting the good fight. Binga is absolutely right too. May you learn much from this place!

Thanks Hollywoodv1 :)

I'm already a huge fan of juices, but yoga has always been on my list of things to do so perhaps this is the time to start anyway. Thank you too!
