Witch Hazel works well but not on it's own. I use it as a toner, after I wash my face and before I apply moisturizer.

Here are a few things lying around at home that may help:

Lemons: Lemon Juice as a face mask usually help my breakout heal faster. All you need to do is squeeze a little lemon juice into a bowl and apply it to your face with a cotton pad - It may sting a bit so you may want to water it down.

Sea Salts: Sea salts are another good option if you have any at home (NOT table salt). Mix a few tablespoons with some warm water and let is dissolve. Apply to your face and let dry.

I would recommend doing either of these for a 10-15 minute period before washing them off.

In terms of products you can find at the pharmacy, look for something for salicylic acid or benxoyl peroxide. Brands like aveeno, clean and clear, neutrogena all sell acne products with these ingredients.

Make sure not to touch your face, it will only aggravate it and make things worse.

Other natural remedies that *apparently* work well (haven't tried them yet) are aloe vera (I think it's best to get it straight from the plant) and aspirin mask. I know aspirin is usually taken orally, but you can crush it up and mix it with water and apply it to the areas needed to reduce inflammation.

Make sure you give it time to work, if you do not see any improvement in a few weeks you may want to see a dermatologist.

Good luck!

P.S - as for the vitamins, it couldn't hurt. Drink tons of water and try taking fish oil tablets (also sold at the pharmacy). Avoid dairy and sugary foods (easier said than done, I know). See if that helps any.
