Okay I'm trying to work out what the problem is here or how to avoid it.
I do the same thing everyday.
Get up, shower, apply moisturiser, go to work.
Now I work 9-5 my skin is fine but every single day by the time it's 4:30pm ish my skin just goes really greasy, oily and I go really red faced like I have rocesa. Now i have tried tons and tons of different moisturisers for oily skin but the same result.
Say on a weekend for example I'll get up at like 12pm do the same then my skin will be fine till like 9pm. It's like my skin has this cycle where it just gets greasy after so long no matter what I do. The only thing I have tried doing is washing my face after 4 hours then apply moisturiser again but obviously as I'm at work or out at the weekend I can't really try it to see.
Does anyone know what is causing this and secondly any suggestions to fix it? I have bad skin as it is but it's embarrassing as I can't go out in evenings after work or say weekends stay out too late if I get ready early or deliberatly stay in till like 4pm till I go out to avoid this happening.
I would just love to have a day where I don't have to worry about being home by x o'clock because my skin is going to go all greasy.
Thanks.
Like said I have tried many different things and it really is no matter what I do say use no moisturiser, moisturiser, different brands etc. after so long my skin just gets super greasy.
Wow.
I gotta say I would give just about anything my skin to take 7 or 8 hours to get oily. For me and many others on this forum, our skin gets oily just an hour or two after showering. For me it's about an hour and a half afterward. Sorry but you'll be getting no pity from me pal.
Count you blessings and maybe just wash your face when it gets oily/dirty . I'd say many, many people have skin that gets oily after 7 or 8 hours if they don't wash it or anything, it's pretty normal actually.
Take a look at some of these other threads and you'll see just how good you have it.

I agree, I would love not to get oily until 8 hours after washing. If I were you I'd just rewash is and wait another 8 hours, no big deal. Now for me, I can't be washing my face every hour of the day
I agree with both of them. It could be a lot worse than 7 hours.
I noticed my skin gets even more oily than usual if I wash it with soap or a harsh cleanser in the morning. Those don't make you produce more oil; I think they just make the oil a lot more visible by washing away the outer layer of skin. So you could try only using water on your face in the morning, or taking showers at night instead. And when I get oily throughout the day, I just wipe some of it off with a tissue or even a paper towel if I have to.
Try a topical B5 serum if possible from skinceuticals. And then a moisturiser if possible with niacinamide/vitamin B3. Currently I am using goat milk moisturise from goatmilk skin care, Also avoid red meat, cheese and other fatty foods and have lime water/ ACV/vegetable juice with meals
My face is quite oily as well, i started regimenting in a face mask 2x a week, consisting of egg white/honey that i leave on for about 20mins. It seems to suck all the grease out. It leaves my face feeling tight and fresh, its been working so far, so i guess ill continue to do it.
