Hello everyone, I just recently made an account on this site and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the heck is on my face and why won't it go away? There are these little flesh colored bumps of skin on my face, mainly near the corners of my mouth and chin. They aren't very visible, but when I press my tongue against them they really stand out. They have been they're for awhile and I just figured they would go away eventually..but they haven't, they have actually spread to the side of my face. No matter what I do they won't go away, and if I pick at them or just touch them, they turn into big sometimes painful flesh colored bumps and eventually big whiteheads...can anyone tell me what this is? And how do I get rid of it? It's driving me insane! Thank you...

This looks like a bad case of clogged pores. You might want to try steaming your face or applying warm (NOT hot) compresses to your face in order to force these clogged pores to come to a head. Also check if your moisturizer is comedogenic.

It does look like non-inflammatory acne, or clogged pores.

I agree with the above poster, but if you want to speed up the healing process you could get yourself an AHA cream to up your skins exfoliation process. Also if you wanted you could combine the with regular facial peels for extra results!

Hope this helps (:

Try a bha instead if an aha, aha exfoliates only the surface of the skin where as bha exfoliates both the surface an inside the pore.

Yep, Definitely non-inflamed acne. Try the steaming with AHA or BHA exfoliation. OCM is excellent for clearing pores as well. It really takes a long time to get rid of non-inflamed acne though, so plan to stick with it for 3-6 months. Chemical peels can help too. There are some easy ones you can do at home. SkinLaboratory sells a 20% Salicylic acid for less than $20 on Amazon. DO NOT PICK/POP them they will look worse and may scar. Just slowly wear off the top layers of skin and they will clear on their own. It will take several months. you can also try taking Aleve, sometimes this helps to clear out the face.. not sure why but it helps. Just 1-2 per day for about 5 days, every 2 weeks. Apple Cider Vinegar (raw, organic and unfiltered, with "the mother) is awesome for a toner. If it is a dermatitis it will clear in a couple days, if not, then it will help slough off the overlying skin to help the pores clear out. Good Luck!!
