I am a black female who suffers from adult acne... My acne woes began as most others do- during puberty. But it wasn't much of a problem and pretty chalked it up to fluctuating hormones and all but went away. However after turning 20 I noticed periodic break outs. Not much at first. But seeing as I was past puberty, it alarmed me somewhat. I finally sought help and was told my acne was of bacterial origin and is classified as moderate and will be a life long affliction. :-/ Welp. So instead of making a long story even longer I'm just going to continue the rest of my story with a list of the medications I've used (in order of use):

Erythromycin/ BP (refrigerated mix)- 3+ yrs until bacteria became resistant

Clindamycin Phosphate lotion 1%-2+ yrs until bacteria became resistant

Erythromycin/BP (refrigerated mix)- 1 yr until bacteria became resistant

Clindamycin Phosphate lotion 1%- 6 months until bacteria became resistant

Epiduo- worsened acne after 2weeks of usage*THROWS IN GARBAGE!!*

Sodium Sulfacetamide lotion 10%- not effective

Finaeca - 3 months until bacteria became resistant

Aczone- Appeared to be effective after 3 weeks but developed a cluster of pimples under bottom lip.

Quinoderm- began tonight Nov 26 2012

I stumbled unto Quinoderm searching for ANY antibacterial topical i had yet tried. Its not sold where in live, (in the US) so i ordered it and for the price i decided to give it a try. Im going to my derms' office this Friday to let her know im trying something new. And seek her advice, if she has any. With the exception of Quinoderm I used a combination therapy with the above mentioned topicals with Tazorac 0.05% or 0.1%, which I apply 3 nights a week. Questions/comments are welcomed 😀
