This started like a year ago, whenever I'm out in the cold for extended periods I get a pretty big red dot on the exact same part of my face, near my eye. It looks a lot like a zit breaking out, but it can't be because when I go inside where it's warm, it immediately goes away, and it's always in the exact same spot.
I used to have bad acne, then last summer I used some powerful antibiotics and creams which got rid of the acne, but irritated my skin and made it very sensitive. My skin seems to be mostly recovered now, and not sensitive anymore, but I still get this red dot in the cold and it's really embarrassing. Can something like this be connected to sensitive skin?
I've never heard of anyone else having this problem, does anyone have any ideas?
thanks
I've never heard of anything like that... and I'll just take a stab in the dark here. But as you know when your face is cold (splashing cold water on your face, icing, etc..) your pores get smaller. And when your face is warm your pores expand. It might be that this red dot is always there, but just much more noticeable when the pores pull together. Just my thoughts.
