Hi guys sorry for the long post but i just wanted to share my regiment for getting clear and a little of my history with acne.
Starting in the 4th grade, I have struggled with what i felt was severe acne. From my forehead to my cheeks to my chin, I had acne everywhere. I tried everything--every pill, every cream, every treatment. It was at the point that my dermatologist offered me accutane as the last resort. I didnt want to take accutane so i took my facial care into my own hands and did some research that ultimately lead me to where i am today: Completely 100% clear skin!!! Everyone comments on how my skin looks like porcelain! So, here is my regiment and i stick to it religiously. Missing a few days here and there is ok but keeping up with it will give you the best results.
Here are the steps i use and the order in which i apply them
1. Shiseido Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam (day and night)
2. Shiseido Purness Balancing Softener Alcohol-Free (day and night)
3. Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Trageting Serum (day and night; for the dark marks left by old acne)
4. Differin (only at night)
5. BenzaClin (day and night; i use the name brand only because my skin broke out very seriously when i was on the generic. you might not have the same experience with the generic as i had but if you do and your insurance does not cover name brand, talk to your doctor and they can write "fill as prescribed" when they give it to you and it will then be covered.)
6. Clinique City Block Sheer Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF25 (only during the day)
7. Shiseido The Skincare Multi-Energizing Cream (Moisturizer; only use when you are dry and then stop after the dryness goes away. can pick up use again when weather changes and skin gets dry)
I probably should also mention that I have been prescribed yaz to help with the acne and i have been using it for a few years and again, i am nothing but happy with the clear results!
I hope this works for somebody out there...please, if you try this regiment and it works, let me know!
question for you how do you use the differin at night with the benzaclin? i use benzaclin now and was thinking about just using it during the day and the differin at night but am not sure how to treat active acne with just the differin. does it help the spots go away faster?
how do u like the Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Trageting Serum? highly recommend?
i absolutely LOVE the white lucent intensive spot targeting serum--worth the high price. i am mixed with white and african american so my sports were quite dark and the serum got rid of them all.
Congrats!! =) I was wondering, how do you like Shiseido's line? I was looking at some of their products and they seem nice for fair skin. Have you ever tried their sunscreen?
i love shiseido products because they not only work on the skin but they are also formulated to have an aroma aspect that is supposed to work with the brain according to what the shiseido repreentatives have told me. i mix about three of their lines (pureness, the skincare and the white lucent) and i am nothing but happy. i have never used their sunscreen though
question for you how do you use the differin at night with the benzaclin? i use benzaclin now and was thinking about just using it during the day and the differin at night but am not sure how to treat active acne with just the differin. does it help the spots go away faster?
i use the differin and the benzaclin at night on active spots (if i have any) as well as on previous problem areas such as my chin to prevent anything from popping up. I only use the differin at night because it is supposed to be applied once a day at night while the benzaClin calls for twice a day
