I'm sorry what?
you're acne doesn't look to bad. it looks mild, but if you've tried other medications to treat your acne but they didn't work then go for accutane. i was on antibiotics and a topical but those didn't work :/ so hopefully my derm will prescribe me accutane next week
Hey there. It seems to me like you decided to take Accutane long before you started this post. And maybe just needed some sort validation for your choice? Own your choices bro. That's how life is lived
Good luck to you, and I hope your dermatologist gave you the full picture. My experience with Accutane is limited to the box of the stuff I stuck in the back of my closet when I couldn't bring myself to take it so I can't comment either way. I can only respect the choice you have made for yourself, and wish you the best of luck on your journey.
Just a note to fellow acne.orgers: "You are always better off than somebody else, and somebody is always better off than you are". If the OP feels that his acne (however mild we - myself included - may perceive it to be) has affected him in a real way, then it's not for us to say he has no right to his own personal pain.

A note about not being able to eat and get drunk. From PERSONAL experience, don't look at accutane as a cure as for many of us, it is not. I strongly encourage to take the time you are on it to eat right and find out what your root cause is or else your acne may come back.
Look into food intolerances
Maybe reducing dairy and gluten and upping your veggies and fruits. Alcohol in general in excess is worse for the body than marijuana as it destroys brain cells.....just something to think about
I treated my body like shit on both my courses of accutane and let me say, i'd never do that again....ever....not when there are so many other good alternatives.

Yeah I totally won't treat my body like shit and cut out a whole bunch of dairy and sugars, I eat chicken and broccoli about 3 times a week, grilled chicken like 5 times a week, I have chicken soup a lot it contains - chicken, cellary, carrots, brown rice, and onions. Egg whites about 4-5 times a week in the morning and a banana just about 7 times a week, and at LEAST 8 cups of a water a day usually more, none of this has helped expected made me a better person internally.
HOWEVER, If one day I want to maybe go outside the lines for JUST ONE DAY i feel like everything I did for the whole week was completely irrelevant
Honestly you don't need Accutane. Accutane is a last-resort type of drug that is only used when all other prescribed drugs or treatments fail, or if your acne is really severe. Your face is normal. The acne isn't even close to bad...I wouldn't even consider calling that mild acne. If anything try Proactiv, or ask your derm about BP 10%.
Made real appointment for Novemeber 6th, holding back a bit longer.. seeing out things play out-
Currently- Forehead -clear, chin area - clear, side of face still the same a bit worse, just got 4 pimples under and on my life jaw line and still have the one huge pimple near my neck under my ear for about 2 and a half weeks, it's super white but it WILL NOT pop.
Chest is getting worse, back still mild.
