My skin appears to have darkened since using BP which I've been using for almost a week. It is visible especially around my lips and eyes and on my neck as well. My face looks a few shades darker than my neck. Is it the BP causing this?

Have you been out in the sun? I'm sure BP would cause the skin to become more sun sensitive, as it makes the skin more sensitive in general.

I have the same exact problem as you, it's the BP itself, and not sun exposure, of course sun exposure with BP on your skin will make your skin even darker but BP alone will discolour some people, it just does, and it's more noticeable when you only use it on problem areas.

The only way to stop this is to either/a mix of reducing the amount of BP you use, limit BP to only 1 application a day, at night time, use BP sparingly when your clear, for example now I only use it twice a week or so.

Any more questions just quote me!

I had this problem when I used PanOxyl 2.5% and 5% BP. Other brands I've not really had an issue with.

Only been in the sun a little bit. I only use BP once at night. I am wondering whether to come off it completely and just get some different from the doctors. If I come off it, will my skin return to it's normal colour?

Yes that's one of the side effects of BP!

I've read on many sites that BP and harsh stinging, tingling products could permanently cause hyper pigmentation, it happens less to white people but more for black and asians.

That could be a kind of "rash." Try going to a derm and asking for Biafine. It helps repair skin and therefore the color

I've been using it for a week now and my entire forehead and chin area is dark and it's peeling too, my skin is light so it looks odd. Should I stop using it? Idk if it's even working tbh.
