I too find that incidental or moderate sun exposure will usually clear up my mild/moderate acne. But using sunlight or sunbeds as a tool in this way surely just isn't worth it when you consider the other drawbacks, e.g. premature skin ageing, skin cancer risk. You definitely want to be wearing SPF.

I would like to suggest a site which can be helpful to them who are suffering from Pityrosporum Folliculitis. Dr. Cynthia Bailey suggests when you have this on chest and back (acne) spontaneously clears up w/ sun... You can also try washing w/ Nizoral or head and shoulders... Just a thought guys:)

I am not sure if the sun is helpful in fighting acne, however sun exposure is not advisable if your are treating acne scars due to possible problem of hyper pigmentation
