I found that dabbing peppermint oil on an incoming pimple (the kind that hurts to the touch, but
doesn't have a head) stopped the growth and reduced the pimple. In the past week, I done this on
three pimples at different places on my face. All of them stopped getting worse and shrunk.
The peppermint oil is in the form of softgel caps purchased at a herb/vitamin store.
I snip a hole in it with a pair of fingernail scissors and squeeze out a few drops onto my fingers
and dab it on. I do this twice a day after washing my face.
Peppermint oil contains menthol (antibacterial) so it fumes a bit and makes my eyes water a little.

I'm sorry this is 5 years late. I found that too! I noticed that peppermint oil dries out my pimples and helps to either retard its growth or completely shrink it. I love it, I use it as a spot treatment especially when I feel an incoming pimple. I hate when I have an incoming pimple near my eyebrows or under my eye because I'll be legally blind for the next 10 minutes lol. So, I usually do it at night.
