Hi,
I've read a few threads about applying lemon/lime juice to your face, letting it sit for 15 or so minutes and then washing it off. I'm thinking about trying this since I recently had an outbreak and want a quick fix and heard this works well. Anyways, a little history. I've got Asian skin (50% Chinese) so it's a bit oily. I've had consistent acne since my sophomore year in high school. I am now a sophomore in college. I've used BP before and it was going alright. Started using ACV this summer for the first time and had GREAT results. My skin was the best that it's ever been but I recently had an outbreak again. I've been back up here (Seattle) for 4 weeks. So I'm thinking maybe it might have been something from the move this summer (Los Angeles).
So, do you guys think it'd be a good idea to try the lemon juice? Or should I just stick with the ACV since I know it works. I just recently had a BAD outbreak and was kind of discouraged and was reminded how much it sucks. Anyways, ideas? I want to try this tonight so if you could respond quickly it'd be much appreciated.
Thank you!
I leave the lemon juice on, but I get mine from the lil containers not real lemons.
Atm I have had really clear skin without any new nodules popping up so I am extremely pleased. If it makes it past the next 2 weeks without any major nodules then I am gona advocating lemon juice like a motha fuck.
I used fresh lemon juice this summer on some hyperpigmentation and active acne. It worked better than ACV did at reducing red marks, but was more drying and less effective at getting rid of pimples. It wouldn't hurt to try, though - maybe your skin will respond differently!
i've been using lime juice, just out of the container things too. it seems to work pretty well. i havent had any major break outs and it seems to prevent pimples a little bit. I think it works best for the red marks. I have to say that my red marks have pretty much disappeared. I haven't really decided whether I like to leave it on or take it off yet.
The first few times I used it I was in awe. So I started using it morning and night which I think might have made things worse, I'm not too sure. I have a minor break out right now. But it seems to be improving with just using it once a day. Thats just me though. Its not a miracle but I don't think I could go without it now. My skin is also incredibly soft since using it and a nice tone.
I use Lemon juice on my face at night. First, I wash my face with clean and clear facial wash. After my shower, I cut a lemon and squeeze the juice from it and rub it on my face. Next, I put real African Shea butter on my face and leave it all on overnight. I rinse off my face in the morning. This will make your skin as smooth as a baby's bottom and it will look fabulous.

I remember someone posting on here once about moving to Seattle and getting acne, turned out the lack of sun caused them to have a vitamin D deficiency, so they started supplementing and their skin and oil cleared - hope this works for you! Good luck!
You can try mixing lemon and honey if lemon alone dries your skin. Everyone is different so not all solutions will work for one particular person. You must use trial and error technique to figure out which is the best solution for you. If it won't, don't be discourage. There are other ways to cure acne naturally.
