I am re-opening the thread and will be invis'ing a bunch of the off-topic posts and bickering.
Please, let's get back on topic and stay there. The mods are currently discussing the chat problems ... if any changes are going to be made, we'll post a thread in the Announcements forum. If you have concerns about the chat you'd like to express, please PM Brandy or Dan.
UPDATE: okay, I cleaned things up.
I've now read this thread top to bottom and would like to make a few comments:
-- No idea why bfg's previous thread on this topic was deleted .... that was well before my time on the board. I have no facts and I won't speculate.
-- I assure you that Dan is not "jealous" of this or any other regimen ... he knows perfectly well, as do most of us who have struggled with acne for many years, that different treatments, diets, etc. work for different people. This board exists as a testament to that fact.
-- If you personally have tried the DKR without success, by all means go ahead and talk about the problems you experienced. But I feel it is unproductive to simply bash the DKR in general, as it does indeed work for many people.
-- It is grossly unkind and unfair to bash Dan himself personally. He's an awesome guy who genuinely wants to help people. He's also the biggest proponent of free speech on the board.
I'm going to close by assuring you that there is no acne.org conspiracy and no Groupthink. We do, however, appreciate civility and the ability to keep perspective. The lack of either of these things can result in a thread being closed at any time.
Cheers,
LQ
I just want to notify users of this regimen, that psyllium capsules should only be taken during a longer period in cooperation with your doctor. I read it from a Danish med-site, so there's no use in posting a link 😉 So just be a little careful
The same can be said with taking advil long term and every other 6,000 OTC meds out their. Anyway moving on. Thanks for unlocking the thread. My site will still be in the works. Also the thread did not needed to be lock only modded. I have informed Dan of my concerns hence probably why mods are finally taking some action and interest. I will no longer dicuss last nights issues I will let Dan make the changes that are needed. 😀
are there any picture of a before and after progress of those who has used this regimen?
there where a few photos. But they got del. on the last thread that occurred several years ago. I posted some pics of myself. But I later withdrew the pictures because I was getting bothered on the streets by complete strangers. I believe the proof is in the reg and the mirror. You dont need before and after to believe this reg works because it does work. just ask tigerlily. On the site I'm working on I might have users offer patch skin pictures but thats about the extent it will go. One more reason I dont like before and after pictures because people will expect those results sooner and discontinue a successful reg.
Hi there, Ive just read though the 10 pages on this thread and am interested to try it. Firstly for people in the UK, Will these tablets do the job? HEREThankyou.
You just saved me a lot of money. I just ordered the capsules. Too bad I won't be able to use the oxy stuff, but I guess I'll use Clean&Clear. The capsules might do it even without the oxy stuff, I have no whiteheads or blackheads, just a few large cysts that are not even that redish. I think it's because of that product. Now I just need the capsules and I'm hoping to clear up. I guess we'll see. I'll post some feedback once I start using it.

Well, bfg is right in saying if you try it, you will get good results and before and after pics aren't that necessary.
Besides, I don't have any post-Accutane pics where you could see my acne coming back (I didn't take any) and now that I'm currently on this regimen, I'm completely clear again. I don't mind posting a picture of myself with the skin I have now, for what it's worth.
Glad we got the thread back. I don't know if the decision came from Dan himself or one of his mods, but I did send him a message and if he reviewed it and decided to reopen this thread, I just want to thank him.

If I start this I might look at ordering the oxy stuff over to try it out so theres the possility we could combine postage on that and save some money.
I couldnt even find the chill factor lotion on the internet, just usng normal oxy10. Where can I ship it from that ships to the UK? And what is the difference between Chill Factor and the regular Oxy, I have noticed this stuff does dry me out so if I can get something less drying it would be great.
It saids in the product description here to take three capsules twice a day.
https://www.amazon.com/Psyllium-Husk-Caps-NOW-Foods/dp/B000JN6C6O/
Directions
As a dietary supplement, take three capsules with an eight ounce glass of liquid, twice a day.
So bfg there is nothing wrong with following directions and taking three capsules twice a day? Just wondering what is most effective or if it really matters at all if you take all of them in the morning or 3 in the morning and in the evening.
By the way im gonna try this regimen, unfortunately i live in Europe so i have to order them, and that is much more expensive. I am a male and have suffered from acne from i was 13 and am 18 now, I am really hoping this is the solution. Perhaps i will even post some before and after pictures if the results are great.
And just to be clear does this treatment make your skin sensitive to being in the sun?
What is your opinion on this other regimen?
The same can be said with taking advil long term and every other 6,000 OTC meds out their.Absolutely. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful.
problem with Botchla regimen. Is that the bp he has you use is way to thick and does not absorb into the skin real well. The acne scrub is highly abrasive. The two products produce super dry skin as well as making your skin feeling sensitive to the touch. Also the clean and clear line contains some ingredients I'm not real happy about and wonder why they would put some ingredients in that have been known to clog pores. Plus his reg burns really bad when putting it on especially after using the scrubbing acne wash. Been there done that dont want to go their again.
I'm pretty sure that a daily intake of Advil, which harms your liver and doesn't provide any lasting health benefits is far worse for you then taking fiber, which is prescribed to lower cholesterol levels and provide other health benefits. If we had anything to worry about then surely it would be on the label, right?

Well, is there anything else other than oxy that you'd recommend? Something that would be available in Europe as well.
I can't find all the ingredients for this regiment on the net. Oxy Bar Soap, Extreme Alpine is not available anywhere for european users. The two other products are available at amazon, but the oxy bar soap isn't do you know of any other product which is available online for european users that resembles oxy bar soap?
I say...
If you have tried others and they failed why not give this a try. Non of the products can hurt you, and the fiber can do some real good to your guts! (My dad is a Gastroentrologist - Stomach and guts and says people really do need more fiber)
Once you get used to the fiber what is the real harm in trying. With all of the studies out there about the health of you gut affecting the rest of your body I see some good reasons to try.
Go for it!
BFG,
I have been following your regimen exactly since friday and I think it's been working pretty well. Some initial purging but my skin feels better and my poo is nicer than ever (LOL). Once concern though: my face is very tight and very dry. Is this a temporary phase? I appreciate any help.

temp dryness occurs for about a week and it starts to fade out and your skin will adjust to it. Eventually your skin wont even feel dry after doing the reg.

I'm currently working on getting something set up for overseas delivery of oxy products.
Sorry I missed the chat, I didn't check the thread for a while and missed the start time.
I've been doing the reg for 9 days now I think. I've skipped one washing, but that's it.
I still have redness and the remains of all my acne as well as some new stuff surfacing, but overall my skin is smoother and clearer. I have less new daily breakouts and my skin overall just looks better. I don't have to constantly check every hour to see if any new pimples have formed. The only pimples I have now are slow cysts and stuff that are rising I guess. No more quick forming white heads from no where. Also my skin is not as sensitive and sore like before.
I have had a bit of gas lately, might be from the pills or maybe just the tacos I've been eatin'
I'm planing on sticking with it, so far I encourage anyone else to do it as well.
