It doesn't seem safe to use without supervision. I'd rather just squeeze the blackheads out with my fingers but then again I have huge pores so it's easier for me

I have one and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're willing to be unbelievably careful with it. It is somewhat effective, but if you don't sterilize it every time you use it there is a good chance of infection. Also, you can usually squeeze out any blackheads just as effectively with your fingers in my opinion.
