Some scars seem to look worse and more prominent after one in-office session of Skinpen

Hello fellow acne scar sufferers!

I've been dealing with acne for the last 17 years at least, and I am currently 33 y/o. Acne on my face is mostly under control. I have a good skincare and holistic approach to my body and health. Anyways, I usually get 3-4 small pimples on my face max., sometimes before my period or ovulation get some more stubborn papule on my chin.

So I have decided that I want to try some non-invasive treatment for my scars, as I am not 20 anymore, and I get an impression that nowadays acne scar me more than before. I was ust concerned with age it would get worse, so wanted to try in-office micro needling. I know that there are better treatments down there, but many of them also have tons of side effects, pretty serious ones. We all know that for many of us it is impossible to get impeccable skin with current technologies and sometimes we could spend a fortune on something that gives us no results. So I wanted to just do SOMETHING less invasive, and wait for more promising treatments like verteprofin etc. (wishful thinking).

So I just wanted to improve my texture and soften the edges of my scars. I have a comibination of all - a lot of ice picks and scarred pores, boxcar scars (some more shallow, some a bit more deep) and some rolling scars too. But I personally think my biggest issue is my texture...

So I had a skin pen treatment last Tuesday for a very good price, and they just used some medical peptide serum afterwards and asked me to continue use it at home. I followed all the instructions, but now as most of the worst swelling is gone and skin get back "to normal" lets say, I can see that some scars just look... more prominent. How to say that, I did not even realize I must have had some shallow rolling scars in certain parts of my face... But now they look sharper, and in my opinion, a bit deeper. I know it is just a week and maybe the scars will look a bit worse before they get softer, but I am really concerned. Is it really possible for micro needling just at the depth of 1,5 mm on my cheeks to cause my scars look worse (and only one session would cause that)? I know it can take half a year for some collagen to produce, and I know that regular micro needling is neither so powerful nor so efficient for many people in that, but do you think I could have caused permanent damage to my skin with this treatment? Now I'll have two month break to estimate the results, but not sure if I should continue...

It is so discouraging though and stressful. I guess there still might be some micro swelling (I hope not too much though...) so the thought of my scars looking even worse than now just scares me! My scars has been moderate so far, so I would be depressed if they got worse. And if micro needling is cause it to my skin as a relatively safe procedure some do as at-home treatment, there is no chance I could try other treatments as a poor healer. And it was a recommended depth of 1,5 mm... If needles were deeper, I understood...

Can I ask if anyone experienced that - it looked worse first before it started looking better?
