Ive had acne scarring on my forehead, temples and left cheek since I was a teenager, so around 20 years now. Im at the point where I can afford treatment (within reason) but Id like some thoughts on what to expect, including results, before I schedule a consult.
I do have a dermatologist that I see for my annual skin check and such but he referred me to their surgical dermatologists (obviously).
Thank you!
As an update, I had a consult with the cosmetic team at the practice where I have my general derm checkups. They recommended two treatments with the CO2 fractional laser, with 30% improvement after each session. Thoughts?
I scheduled a second opinion at a different practice for next week.
Definitely good that you're getting a second opinion. Maybe get a third too.
From what I can see, I wonder if something like:
- TCA CROSS
- Subcision with suction
And then maybe some fractional laser might be interesting.
But yeah, learn as much as you can, talk to a few specialists, and only move forward when you feel you are on the right path and in good hands.
