I've been working on fixing my acne scars since late-2020 I believe and so far I've done (all with Dr. Rullan)
4x subcision (with filler 3 times)
5x cross
4x erbium
1x morpheus
Also got V beam 4x for my PIE but I don't think that did much mostly because I don't think the laser was set to a high enough setting, so I'll be looking to get that elsewhere.
I've made a lot of progress with my scarring, and I'm not sure how to continue. After my last visit with Dr. Rullan, he said next time it'll be just erbium and cross, but honestly with the increased annoyance with setting up an appointment with them and having to fly up and down to San Diego, I've been looking at derms near me. I've gotten these suggestions from them -
1. One derm suggested doing 4x fraxel treatments.
2. The other suggested first doing 1-2 rounds of v beam and a tca chemical peel, and then doing fraxel (or picoway + peel) for 1-2 rounds. He also said I still need some subcision done on my temples which I believe it also true.
So I'm not sure if I should just continue with Dr. Rullan or go with one of these other choices. Sorry for the rant and thanks!!
It's always good to get a second opinion.
According to research, here's what works best (attached a pic). But you can also go to the scars page and see what's what. Unfortunately all the things that work really well have high side effects, but that usually goes hand in hand.
how often did you do subcision with fillers?
how often did you do tca cross?
what creams/serums are you using?
Also, I recall a member on here a while back saying Dr. Rullan was more a chemical peel guy than a laser guy. Did he personally do the erbium? Maybe the poster who said this was mistaken. Do you know the settings he used? Here is a good thread on erbium laser from several years ago.

So Ive now gotten three doctors opinions but the issue is I would choose Rullan over the other 2, but Im tired of flying to and from San Diego with a messed up face lol. The main thing stopping me from doing it locally is if tca cross will be worse than phenol.
