My experience with Differin Adapalene 0.1% Gel (45g pack) so far – humid climate users?

Hi everyone,

Ive been dealing with stubborn acne, pimples, and dark spots for a while, made worse by the humid weather here. I recently started using Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% (the 45g version, pack of 2 thats often listed as Amazons Choice).

Im only a few weeks in, so still in the early stages, but I wanted to share what Ive noticed:

Started with every other night to avoid too much irritation

Skin feels drier than usual (expected with retinoids)

Some purging in the first 23 weeks (more whiteheads appearing)

Already seeing a few old marks starting to fade slightly

Im pairing it with a gentle moisturizer and sunscreen during the day because of the heat and humidity.

Has anyone else used the 0.1% Differin gel in a hot/humid climate? How long did the purging last for you? Did you notice better results after week 68? Any tips to reduce peeling or irritation?

Would love to hear real experiences especially from people who stuck with it long-term.

Thanks!

I suspect you won't see results you're happy with using only 0.1% adapalene. Even at 0.3% it's not super impressive.

Also, purging is not usually a thing with retinoids. If your acne is getting worse, that's not a good sign.

As far as the irritation goes it shouldn't be bad or last that long with 0.1% adapalene.
