I want to start working on my skin care. What should I do?

I want to start with as minimal a routine as possible. It looks like the most important things to do are retinol (any brand recommendation?) sunscreen, and moisturizer.

I'm curious about microneedling and other procedures as well.

No microneedling. Moisturizer is extremely temporary and I found it very hit or miss for people with any textural/dryness issues. But by all means you could try to moisturize just find a really natural, durable one that lasts a while and isn't gross.

I would just guess based on my own readings, look into peels possibly, dermabrasion might also be worthy of a test (superficial kind like light dermabrasion) to cure some textural but I personally am not 100% on that. It's not that bad though because it's just light textural and you have no major scarring so test very carefully anything you try as to not make anything worse.
