Experience with Filler Bumps

Hi everyone,

I recently went through with Dr. Rullans Quattro procedure. Its been about 2 and a half weeks now and I have raised bumps where the filler was placed.

Does anyone have experience with this? Do I need to give the filler some more time to settle or do I need to pursue dissolving it?

Ps. Sorry for the low image quality I tried my best to capture it

Based on my experience, that def isn't normal. I have 1 bump on my temple from his filler also. And that was from a couple years ago. It's still kind of there. Apparently massaging it helps make it go away. He also did a saline injection when I told him about it once.

@acknee4life Thanks for the response! Not feeling very hopeful after that lol. I've been waiting for the nurse to give me a call back (5 days now) but I guess I have to bug the office some more to get them to respond.

This is common I think. You're supposed to massage them for the week after.

Hey, how are the lumps going? Are they getting better?

@froyosh Hey, Im 4 weeks post procedure now. The filler bumps are still there. I did speak with the nurse and she recommended giving it another month before we think about doing any dissolving :/

May I ask what was the filler used?

Maybe it wasn't injected deep enough in the skin that you got the filler bumps. Did you get the fillers right after subcision or did you wait a while for the swelling to go down?

@stardust123 Hey, Dr. Rullan did the filler first. Then performed the cross, subcision and erbium.

Ah that sounds weird.

It's safer to wait a week or two for the swelling to go down, and then get fillers. You don't have to get fillers with Dr. Rullan, any place can do it. If you're flying from out of town, their office might want to do a bunch of procedures in a short amount of time, but it's not always ideal.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with this. I hope their office can fix it.

@jadln I went in for a second round of treatment with Dr. Rullan and he injected the bumps with saline. It didnt really do anything, I still have the bumps.

@archie8123

I think its probably because the fillers is placed too superficially i have the same thing

do you think about trying hyaluronidase? Im too scared for this but dont want to stay with the lump

@jadln yeah when I went in for my second appointment I actually asked to dissolve it, but Dr. Rullan said it would be better to do the saline so the filler would spread. At this point I can see some spots where the filler has dissolved on its own, so Im not gonna mess with it.
