Hi Ive had some eCo2 laser done 3x subcision and filler a couple months ago (October 23) yet my scars seem to get better and then regress heavily within a month or two of each treatment is there anything that will help these permanently?

The more I research scar treatment, the more I realize most treatments have to be repeated over and over to see results. Lately I've been researching microneedling with PRP for instance, and you have to do it many times to see results. That can be tough because you're wondering if it's working as you go and if you're wasting your money.

Laser (at least ablative fractional laser) is similar to microneedling. It creates injury to the skin that the skin then heals from, and needs to be repeated a few times to see good results. Even though ablative non-fractional supposedly is a once and done thing, I dunno about that. I think perhaps it's gotta be repeated a bunch of times too.

Subcision doesn't work miracles. Did you do it with suction. From what I've been reading, that makes it work better. But still, don't expect miracles from subcision. I still like the idea of doing it though. It just makes common sense to me.

Filler on the other hand is usually something you should see immediate results from. You're noticing even the filler is only working short term?

Youre blessed that your scars are on your temple and not your cheeks like mine as they are much less noticeable. I had to Zoom in to even find them. Subcision needs 4-6 treatments to see results and should be repeated every 4-8 weeks. You have rolling scars so lasers are going to be a waste of your money. The only thing for rolling scars that Ive seen is Subcision + filler+ micro-needling. There is one other drastic procedure called dermabrasion that could probably help you, but it is really a last resort because the downtime can be several months and you may scar worse if not done in the right hands. I would stay the course on Subcision until youve had 6 treatments, but dont wait too long in between sessions. Also, what doctor are you going to? If your doctor doesnt know what hes doing then this could also be what is holding you back. There are really only a few doctors nationally that I would truly trust with my skin.
